Why I’m here:

Hi! I’m Melissa—a mom, pediatric occupational therapist, and the heart behind Make it make sensory- A individually curated sensory experience.

My love for sensory bins started as a simple hobby when my son was little. What began as a fun way to keep him engaged quickly grew into something more: a powerful tool for play-based learning and development. As an OT, I was amazed at how many skills we could support—fine motor strength, bilateral coordination, language, focus, and even emotional regulation—just through play.

With a little creativity, I discovered how easy it was to swap materials, stretch his attention, and keep things fresh without needing fancy supplies. That’s where the idea for Build Your Own Sensory Experience was born.

Now, I bring that same magic to you through hands-on parties and custom sensory setups that invite kids (and grown-ups!) to explore, create, and connect—one kit at a time.
