Meet Melissa:

Hi, I’m Melissa!

I’m a pediatric occupational therapist and the founder of Make It Make Sensory. For over six years, I worked as a school-based OT supporting children as they navigated the academic and social demands of the classroom. Through this experience, I gained a strong understanding of the skills children need to succeed in school and the challenges families often face when those skills don’t come easily.

I have extensive experience working with students with special needs and supporting children with a wide range of learning, sensory, and developmental differences. My passion is helping children build confidence as they move from preschool into the elementary years.

Through play-based occupational therapy, I help children develop important skills such as:

  • Fine motor skills

  • Executive functioning

  • Self-care and independence

  • Self-regulation

As a mom of three young boys, I understand how important it is for children to feel capable and confident in their daily routines. My goal is to partner with families to provide supportive strategies that help children thrive at home, at school, and in everyday life.

When I am not working you can often catch me at a local park or the zoo chasing my 3 boys with a cold cup of coffee in hand.

I love partnering with families to help children feel confident, capable, and successful—and I would be honored to support your child’s journey.
