Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
This practice is cash-based, which allows for more personalized care and flexibility for families. Payment is due at the time of service.
However, I am happy to provide a superbill upon request. A superbill is a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies depending on your individual insurance plan.
(Medicaid does not typically accept a superbill, and I am not credentialed to accept medicaid.)
What is a superbill?
A superbill is a document that includes all the information your insurance company may need to reimburse you for occupational therapy services. While reimbursement cannot be guaranteed, many families are able to receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits.
Many PPO insurance plans reimburse families $50- $90 per session after submitting a superbly, depending on their out-of-network benefits and deductible.
What should I ask my insurance provider about superbills?
Do I have out-of-network occupational therapy benefits?

What percentage will be reimbursed through a superbill?
I am happy to help families understand how to submit superbills and navigate out-of-network reimbursement.

Where do sessions take place?
This practice is mobile, which means I come to you.
Sessions can take place in your home or another agreed-upon location where your child feels comfortable and able to participate. This model allows therapy to happen in real-life environments where children learn and grow every day.
Do you have a clinic or office location?
At this time, I do not have a brick-and-mortar clinic. This allows for greater flexibility and individualized care while keeping overhead costs lower.
How long are sessions?
Evaluations: Approximately 60 minutes
Treatment sessions:45 minutes
Evaluations include parent input and an individualized plan to support your child’s goals.
Will you accept evaluations from other sources?
I will accept Occupational Therapy Evaluations performed by another licensed and registered Occupational Therapist dated within 2 months of therapy service start date.
Do you offer therapy group sessions?
Yes! When appropriate, I am open to working with small groups of up to three children.
Small group sessions can:
support social interaction
encourage peer learning
help reduce the overall cost for families
Group sessions are only offered when children’s goals and needs align well OR if there are multiple children in the same home who need services.
Do I need an evaluation for the group therapy option?
Yes, occupational therapy evaluations are neccessary to establish goals for the therapy group. You do not need an evaluation to attend a general PreK group.
How is group therapy different than PreK groups?
PreK groups are less formal. They offer a purposeful play opportunity that encourages social interaction, sensory exposure and fine motor practice; however they do not specifically address therapy goals.
What ages do you work with?
Services are designed for children from 3K to 5th grade who need support with school and daily life skills, including:
Fine motor development
Handwriting
Executive functioning
Independence with school tasks
Emotional regulation
Social participation
Do you work with homeschool or private school students?
Yes! I love partnering with homeschool families and private schools to support children's learning and development. I also offer parent workshops and educational talks for homeschool groups and schools.
Will you offer financial assistance?
Accessibility is important to this practice. While a scholarship option is not available yet, my goal is to develop a small scholarship or sliding-scale program in the future to help more families access services.
More information will be shared as this program develops.
How far will you travel for therapy sessions?
Because sessions are provided in your child’s natural environment (home, preschool, or community setting), travel is part of the service model.
Sessions within 12 miles of downtown Lexington, SC are included at no additional cost.
Locations 12–20 miles away may be scheduled for a $15 travel fee per visit. (This fee may be waved based on number of clients in the area or if it is a group therapy session)
Serving families throughout the Midlands including **Lexington, West Columbia, Cayce, parts of Columbia, and surrounding communities.
Are you still doing play dough parties?
Yes, as my schedule allows I will still be offering play dough parties. I bring custom homemade play dough and fun themed mix in options. The price for the party includes a 1 hour rental. Bonus: Each child gets to take home a custom play dough jar for their party favor.
